Are they? The one I know doesn't seem like he'd be the kind to play chess.

Which one? And no, they all play it, and they're all incredible at it.

The one with the bowtie. He seems more like he'd play...Candyland or something.

Candyland? What sort of game is that? And my Doctor, well, he wouldn't play it, maybe if it were Jammie dodgerland.

It's a board game where you race to the end by drawing cards.

Do you win candy?

No but we can always make it so the winner gets candy.

But then why is it called Candyland?

[firstbeliever]

Because the game board is designed so that it looks like it's a land of candy. There's things like Lollipop Woods, Peanut Brittle House and all of the characters are candy-based too like King Candy, Gramma Nutt.

You'll have to teach me how to play, sounds like fun! Maybe Jack and Sandy will play! Do you think the Tooth Fairy would want to play considering it has to do with candy?

It is! And I'll bring over some other games too to teach you. [Jamie laughs.] She'd probably make us brush our teeth and floss just from looking at the game but I bet she'd play.

[Still doesn't know how to use floss, actually.]

Oh! And I can teach you the card games I know!

But most important is to get you good at chess. Then you can be my partner.

I bet you'd have a lot of partners if you asked.

I would, but I want you to be my partner, Jamie. [She's blushing the tiniest bit, but she doesn't understand why.]

Well, because you're my dearest friend, Jamie. Besides, since you're not the Doctor or Mr. Mimir, you haven't seen nearly every chess move in the universe.

They can't have seen every chess move...can they?

Well, in two player chess there are only so many real moves to be had.

[firstbeliever]

Then you could always make a three or more player chess game. That way when Mimir comes back you can play something they don't know all the moves.

It exists, already, I think but I don't know how to play.

Then we'll just have to make up a game so he doesn't know all the moves.

Feels a bit cheating, but yes, I do believe that might be best! Might even give him a proper challenge!
